Christmas Fun
Emily and her friend, Nyah, making bead candy canes.
I have several of these little trees from when I taught school. We store them in the garage. Last year she saw them and decided that she wanted to have her own Christmas tree in her room. Now it is tradition! This year she decided to decorate it "all by myself". Notice the two candy canes hanging on the tree. Ha!
Her "presents" under the tree were part of an advent calendar. She got to open a book to read every night at bedtime. Each one was a Christmas story. Some were books we own, others library books and some new ones too! This was something we started last year as well. She looked forward to getting a "present" every night and read fun stories together!
