What's Your Favorite Cereal?

Emily has been studying our food intently as we have been eating lately. She has even started to grab for it at times. So... today she got her first taste of real food! Emily and I went to Wal-mart bright and early this morning to buy some rice cereal. Chad helped to document the event on video while I gave Emily her first taste of rice cereal. SHE WAS A CHAMP! She seemed to really enjoy it and was a pro by the end. Our baby is growing up so fast!!!!

Look Who's 4 Months Old!!!!!!

Emily is 4 months old today! I can't believe how fast time is going. She is getting so big and is changing daily. Here are a few things she is doing at 4 months:

* SMILING A LOT!
* tries to sit up at every opportunity
* drooling (The wetness never ends at our house!)
* biting/chewing on EVERYTHING!
* getting taller by the day
* high pitched squeals of delight
* monologues of squeals
* holding her own bottle (when we let her)
* playing with her feet and toes
* expressing her opinion
* entertaining her parents

Sleep...What's That?

Emily has been sick for the past couple of days. She has had a fever, runny nose and a lot of congestion. All of the congestion has made it difficult for her to sleep. That also means...you guessed it... Chad and I have had little sleep as well. For the most part though, she's been surprisingly happy. She's been smiling, playing with Chad's face, sucking on her fingers and noticing her own feet (a few of her favorite things)! Emily is getting close to perfecting that adorable high-pitched squeal of delight. She does it a lot now. It's actually pretty amusing.

We took a couple of pictures of her this weekend. She is getting so big!!!! Enjoy the pictures.

P.S.- Emily fell asleep in the car with her fingers in her mouth. I thought it was so precious!

She's cuter than ever and tons of fun!

Emily has been so much fun lately! She has a very happy, playful disposition and has enjoyed exploring the world around her. Emily loves looking around at everything. Now that the weather is warmer she has enjoyed being outdoors. Spring is definitely here. The blossoms on the trees are so beautiful. The only thing she hasn't liked about being outside is the wind. Every time it blows, it takes her breath away!

She has become very strong and can hold up her head.
She also likes to stand up on her legs (with a little help of course).

Most recently, she has discovered that she can hold and play with toys. (She also enjoys drooling on them and putting them in her mouth.) I took some pictures of her playing around. It turns out that I have a hard time trying to make her smile on demand and take a good picture at the same time. The photography may not be the best, but she's REALLY CUTE!




Emily has been doing a lot more "talking" and has developed several high pitched sounds. She also gurgles, coos and has started to giggle. It is absolutely ADORABLE! Chad and I love spending time with our little girl. It's funny...it's hard to remember what life was like before she joined our family. All we know is that life is much better with her around!
