The New Baby

Our little girl finally made her grand entrance on Monday, December 18th at 6:50 PM. She Weighed eight pounds eight ounces and measured 19 and 3/4 inches long. The only thing Amy was not thrilled about was the size of the baby! Her name is Emily Katherine. Check out all of her long dark hair...must have some Jensen genes there. These photos were taken on her birthday, December 18. I'll post some photos that were taken today (Dec. 19th) as well. She looks much different after only one day. Mom and baby are doing well. Enjoy the photos!

10 Days To Go

The baby is due in 10 days....we thought we probably ought to get prepared for her arrival. The past months have been hectic for both Amy and I. Amy has been very busy learning how to deal with a new school, new curricula, and being pregnant. I have been adjusting to my first year of graduate school with the attendant research, learning how to administer psychological tests, and reading more than I have ever read in my life. We are excited for the arrival of our little girl and especially for the time that we will both have away from our other responsibilities when she arrives. Amy will have until mid-march thanks to a generous maternity leave and I do not start school again until January 17th. The 13th (baby's due date) is the last day of finals for me...it will be interesting to see how this turns out. All of my classes have flexible instructors so I should have not problems. We will post photos of the new baby as soon as she arrives.

My new truck....

Sometimes I lament the fact that we cannot afford a truck...sometimes I just use the 1986 Toyota Camry. We recently decided that we should purchase a chest freezer to store some items such as beef from the Jensen Ranch and some infamous Apple Pie from the Todd family. Since Sears wanted $100 to deliver the thing, I decided that the old Toyota should be able to get 'er done. This is the latest installment in my "just load it on the toyota" adventures. Last time it was the new baby crib. Amy thought that this one was particularly entertaining...and photos shortly followed. I got some great looks from folks who passed us by as we drove home...
