A whole month already?

We can't be stay at home parents forever...although it has been nice to both be at home for a Emily's first month. We have discovered that Christmas break is an ideal time to have a baby if you are in graduate school. Classes started again for me today. Amy is not too sure how she feels about flying solo with Emily while I am at school and work. I am sure that this will be an adjustment, just as most of this parenting stuff has been. Starting to come out of the sleep deprivation fog has been a welcome change; Emily has begun sleeping longer at nights lately. Enjoy some new photos of Emily about 1 month old.

Emily gets all the screen time...

Emily has officially taken over the blog. We have been adjusting to having her in our family and the attendant sleep interruptions she insists upon. Emily has been a remarkably well behaved baby. She grunts rather than screaming when she is uncomfortable about something, a fact for which we are grateful. We are happy to be back home after a two week visit to Idaho. Emily behaved very well on the plane both ways, probably better than we can expect on future trips. Enjoy some more photos Emily!
